Controlling Faction: Independent
Dangers: Bounties paid for in the Den are honoured. Bounties paid for in the Den are also honoured on whoever paid them, by tradition., The Den's lowest level is rented to someone nobody can name. The rent is paid on time. The rent is paid in sealed chips that no one on the Den has been able to verify., Anyone who spends three nights in a row in the Den's back rooms is, by Rekkless custom, considered a resident for the purposes of any bounty on them.
Hooks: The Den's back rooms are rented, by the night, to anyone willing to pay in recks or favours. The back rooms include at least one rented by a House archivist pretending to be a Remnant salvager., A rogue psion runs a small, very discreet reading room in the Den's lowest level. The reading room is by appointment only. The appointment is by name only. The name is not on any grid., A Legion deserter team that fled here last season has been quietly hired as the Den's permanent security. The deserter team does not wear Legion colours. The deserter team is otherwise exactly the same.
Lore: Every station of Rekkless' kind has a Den. The Den is the floor the station was built on, and the station's reputation is, in the end, the Den's reputation. Rekkless' Den survives because the Den knows where the bodies are. The Den has never had a riot. The Den has never had to.
Notable: The Den is the lower hull of Rekkless Haven, the part of the station built onto the rock itself rather than bolted onto the ring. It is dimmer, warmer, and a great deal more honest about what it is., The captain's chair from a Surikov-class gunship, salvaged, repaired, and bolted to the floor of the Den's main room as the bartender's throne., A single staircase descending past the lowest rented room, with no door at the bottom and a smell of warm ozone coming up. Nobody has walked it twice.
