Notes

Dangers: Fold-bleed is high and the shrine's central court runs a slow, constant bleed-through (the keepers call it 'the listening'); pilgrims who stay past their welcome sometimes come back different; the shrine's deeper crypts have been sealed and the seals are old.

Hooks: A pilgrim from the Core has arrived at the Boneshrine claiming to be a reincarnation of the clan's founding matriarch; the shrine-keepers want to admit her; the clan wants her detained., A gene-psion has been born in the shrine's keeper-line, the first in seven generations; the clan wants the child sent to the Navigator pipeline; the keepers want the child kept., A Legion chaplain is on-system asking for 'pastoral access' to the shrine; the clan has refused three times; the chaplain is not leaving.

Lore: Boneshrine of Sze-Mah is the moon the clan Shen-Korr was named for and the only piece of ground in their domain they do not fully control. It is a small, airless rock in orbit around the seat-world, kept habitable by a pre-Confederate atmospheric bubble that nobody alive remembers installing and that the shrine-keepers treat as a holy artifact. Eighteen generations of keeper-line have lived here, governing access, performing the funerary rites for dead clan matriarchs and patriarchs, and listening -- the keepers call it listening -- to whatever it is the fold-bleed on this moon says. Fold-bleed here is high and visible, a low shimmer that sits over the Listening Court on still nights and that the clan pretends is a natural phenomenon. The keepers have not pretended this for a long time. The clan's official line is that the shrine is a pilgrimage site and nothing more; the keepers' actual line is older and considerably less flattering to the clan. Eighteen hundred permanent residents, all keeper-line and their indentured staff, plus a rotating population of clan-approved pilgrims.

Notable: The Listening Court (open-air temple at the moon's centre, fold-bleed visible here as a constant low shimmer); the Bone Garden (the clan's ancestral burial, every Shen-Korr of note interred here); the Keeper's House (lineage-traced keepers, eighteen generations).
