Notes

Dangers: Atmospheric spillover from the nearest processor on bad-wind days; camp disputes that get violent (no clan constable, no Kadiss); a seep of fold-bleed along the southern ridge where the ground gives off a faint wrong-coloured light at dusk.

Hooks: A terraforming crew is squatting the edge of an atmospheric processor's exhaust zone; they're offering cheap contract work but they need someone to run a part from Hold Sze without the clan's cut., A Day One pilgrim preacher has set up a tent at Drymouth's market and is drawing drovers and processor-workers to evening prayers; clan Shen-Korr wants the preacher gone; the preacher's congregation wants the clan gone., A cache of pre-Collapse Earth tech (functional, not Fold-touched) has turned up in a salvager's dig south of camp; whoever owns it has to decide whether to fence it on the clan's terms or to the Legion.

Lore: Drymouth is what the clans call a tent-town, which is a polite name for a place where nobody has title and everybody pays. It clings to the lee side of atmospheric processor Vrel-3, the outermost of the twelve, on land the clan has never bothered to formally claim because the air here is bad enough that admitting ownership would mean admitting liability. Workers from Vrel-3 sleep here; drovers on the long trace stop here because it is the last place with drinkable water before the canyon; smugglers use it because it is the only spot on the Vrelten Plain where a Kadiss-bearing off-worlder can move without the clan's eyes-on. Population is fluid; the fixed number is the eleven thousand who have built something, the moving number is everyone else. The clan's protection collectors come through once a week. The Day One preacher has been here nine weeks. The atmospheric processor Vrel-3 threw a gasket six days ago and the camp is arguing about what to do.

Notable: The Tarpaulin Market (drymouth's only economy); the Long Tents (worker housing, eight hundred stretched canvas-and-salvage units); the Preacher's Lantern (a salvaged Core-world signal lamp the Day One preacher uses for evening rites).
