Asset-Realisation Auditor
A forensic accountant with a badge and a gun.
An Asset-Realisation Auditor is the Nine's debt-enforcement specialist. They are forensic accountants, investigators, and seizure agents rolled into one: they track assets, freeze accounts, and physically confiscate property when the digital trail is not enough. They are not soldiers -- they are bureaucrats with legal authority to take everything you own.
An Auditor is an elite encounter that starts as a social/legal challenge and only becomes combat if the target resists seizure. They are methodical, patient, and backed by the full weight of the Nine's legal apparatus. The lever is the debt itself -- prove it wrong, and the Auditor has no authority.

Notes
Full Attack: Standard Sidearm ranged +5 (1d6+1 energy; range 30 ft) or Restraint Cuffs melee +4 (1d4 bludgeoning; DC 14 STR or restrained)
Habitat: Core worlds, Rim stations with Confederation presence, debt courts, and anywhere assets need to be seized. Found with 2 Enforcers, in a debtor's home or business, or reviewing financial records in a corporate office. Roll 1d6: 1-2 = Auditor conducting a forensic audit (patient, methodical), 3-4 = Auditor executing a seizure warrant (Enforcers present), 5-6 = Auditor investigating a debtor's trail (alone, focused).
Morale: Steady (10); the Auditor retreats when the warrant is voided or when violence exceeds the seizure's value; will not fight to the death over property
Senses: Normal human vision; data-scanner implant grants +6 to Notice for hidden assets, concealed compartments, and financial irregularities; passive Perception 16
Tactics: The Auditor leads with Seizure Authority, backed by 2 Enforcers. They use Forensic Audit to gather intelligence, Account Freeze to limit the target's options, and Debt Calculation to negotiate from a position of knowledge. If the target resists, the Enforcers handle violence while the Auditor documents. If the warrant is voided or the Enforcers fall, the Auditor retreats and returns with a larger team.
Treasure: Standard sidearm (200 rek), data-scanner implant (1,500 rek), restraint cuffs (100 rek), armourweave auditor coat (400 rek), seizure warrants and financial records (intelligence value varies), encrypted datapad (debtor lists, account details; 1,000-5,000 rek to the right buyer), 2d10 rek in corp petty cash.
Vulnerabilities: Non-combatant (the Auditor relies on Enforcers for violence; alone they are a bureaucrat with a sidearm), Warrant-dependent (without a valid warrant the Auditor has no authority; falsifying or voiding the warrant removes their power), Rim authority (outside Confederation space the Auditor's warrants are meaningless)

Special Abilities
Seizure Authority
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
actionCost | Standard |
name | Seizure Authority |
description: The Auditor produces a seizure warrant and declares one visible item or asset as seized. The owner must make a DC 15 Will save or comply (the legal weight is real). If the owner resists, the Auditor can call 2 Corp Security Enforcers (see NPC-ASSET-REALISATION-ENFORCER) who arrive in 1d4 rounds. Player-visible: the Auditor reads the warrant number, identifies the asset, and waits. If you resist, the Enforcers come.
Forensic Audit
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
actionCost | Full-round |
name | Forensic Audit |
description: The Auditor examines one creature, container, or system for hidden assets, concealed information, or financial irregularities. The Auditor gains +10 to Notice and Bureaucracy checks against the target for the next hour. This is a social/technical action, not combat. Player-visible: the Auditor asks questions, scans with the data-scanner implant, and makes notes. Every answer is a data point.
Account Freeze
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
actionCost | Swift (1/encounter) |
name | Account Freeze |
description: The Auditor freezes one creature's rek accounts via Kadiss link. The target cannot access their funds for 1d4 hours unless a DC 16 Bureaucracy check overturns the freeze. Player-visible: the Auditor taps a datapad, pauses, and tells you to try buying something.
Debt Calculation
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
actionCost | passive |
name | Debt Calculation |
description: The Auditor can calculate any creature's outstanding debts, obligations, and financial vulnerabilities with a DC 12 Bureaucracy check. This information is used to negotiate, threaten, or justify seizure. Player-visible: the Auditor knows what you owe, to whom, and what happens if you do not pay.
