Day One High Priest

Fanatical Day One spiritual leader.

Day One High Priests are the spiritual architects of the First Dawn cult. Rising through ranks via fanatical devotion and charisma, they are wired into a neural network of cult doctrine. Clad in ceremonial robes and bearing symbols woven into their nervous systems, they project Fold-touched manipulation directly into the minds of disciples. Their role: evangelize the First Dawn scripture, excise heretics, wire new recruits into the collective fervor, and accelerate the coming apocalypse. When they speak, synapses fire in unison.

Notes

Full Attack: Shock-Staff melee +8 (1d8+2 bludgeoning, +1d6 electricity vs. non-believers) and Cult Mark ranged +9 (1d6 Wis, DC 16 Will or disoriented 1d4 rounds) or Ritual Dagger melee +7 (1d4+1 piercing, +1d6 vs. willing victims)

Habitat: Day One temples (repurposed station chapels, void-facing structures), cult compounds (compound-sewn neural integration), hidden shrines (Fold-attuned meditation cells), apocalyptic battlefields. Found surrounded by 5-10 Day One Zealots (cult-wired disciples) and 1-2 Cell-Leaders (neural hubs for local indoctrination nets).

Psionics: Fold-touched; Fanatical Exhortation, Fervent Sacrifice, Cult Barrier, Psionic Rupture, Martyr's Resolve all Fold-resonance based

Senses: Low-light vision 60 ft; telepathic awareness 40 ft (Fold-touched; senses active minds within range but cannot read thoughts without sustained contact)

Tactics: Opens with Fanatical Exhortation to synchronize follower neural networks and boost all allied disciples. Deploys Cult Barrier to protect key lieutenants and himself. Engages with Shock-Staff, using Cult Mark psychic assault on priority targets to disorient and isolate resistance leaders. Uses Psionic Rupture against clustered enemies. Triggers Fervent Sacrifice to push a follower into a critical moment. When dropped below 25% HP, enters Martyr's Resolve - pain becomes transcendence, and he fights with the reflex speed of neural overdrive.

Treasure: Shock-staff (1000 rek), cult mark (neural focus; 500 rek), ritual dagger (300 rek), ceremonial robes (500 rek), encrypted scriptures (contains First Dawn doctrine and neuro-indoctrination protocols), 2d10 relics (100 rek each; Fold-attuned tokens), 1d4 doses of neural stims (300 rek each; narco-sacrament), Day One High Priest neural crown (valuable for cult ritual communion).
