Station Administrator

The person who keeps a Station running: scheduling berths, managing life support, and deciding who gets to dock.

A Station Administrator is the manager of an orbital Station or spaceport. They are bureaucrats, not soldiers; their power comes from controlling access, resources, and information. They decide who docks, who trades, and who gets asked to leave. They are not rich, not powerful, and not important enough to assassinate -- which is exactly why they survive.

An Administrator is an elite social encounter: the gatekeeper who controls access to a Station's resources. They are not fighters; they are administrators. The lever is their authority -- bypass or neutralise the Administrator and the Station is yours.

Notes

Full Attack: Holdout slug pistol ranged +2 (1d6 energy; range 30 ft; concealed)

Habitat: Orbital stations, spaceports, and anywhere ships dock. Found in the administration office, on the bridge, or in the docking control room. Roll 1d6: 1-2 = Administrator in the office (working, approachable), 3-4 = Administrator on the bridge (monitoring, in control), 5-6 = Administrator in a crisis (alarms, security, scrambling).

Morale: Unsteady (8); the Administrator retreats to a secure location when the station is threatened; will negotiate from any position if cornered

Resistances: Station monitoring (included in senses; the Administrator sees everything on the station), Regulatory authority (+4 to saves against intimidation in station settings)

Senses: Normal human vision; station monitoring grants access to all station cameras and sensors (+6 to Notice within the station); passive Perception 15

Tactics: The Administrator does not fight. They regulate. They use Station Authority to control access, Life Support Control to manipulate the environment, and Access Control to lock down the station. If the station is breached, the Administrator retreats to a secure location and calls for help. An Administrator who fights has already lost.

Treasure: Holdout slug pistol (150 rek), station access codes (priceless to anyone who wants to control the station; 2,000-10,000 rek to the right buyer), station records (intelligence value varies), administrative datapad (regulations, manifests, logs; 500-2,000 rek), 2d10 rek in station petty cash.

Vulnerabilities: Non-combatant (the Administrator has no combat training; in a fight they are helpless), Station-dependent (the Administrator's power comes from the station; outside the station they are just another bureaucrat), Security-dependent (the Administrator relies on Station Security for violence; alone, they are a person with a datapad)

nameLife Support Control

description: The Administrator manipulates station life support in one compartment. Choose one: reduce oxygen (all creatures in the area must make a DC 13 Fort save or be Fatigued for 1d4 rounds), increase temperature (all creatures take 1d6 fire damage, DC 13 Reflex half), or cut gravity (all creatures in the area must make a DC 13 Reflex save or float helplessly for 1 round). Player-visible: the Administrator taps a console, and the environment changes.

FieldValue
actionCostpassive
nameInformation Access
