The psion overwrites the surface identity of one willing or helpless
creature touched. The target believes a single false name, role, and
immediate purpose: that they have always been this person, doing this
thing, in this place. The change is real to the target, but does NOT
rewrite their actual memories for others; those who knew the target
before still recognise them and are confused by the target's claims.
Useful for inquisition work and deep infiltration.

Notes
Effect: Overwrite one touched creature's surface identity with a single false
name, role, and immediate purpose. Target believes they have always been
this person. Others who knew the target still recognise them; only the
target's self-concept changes. Duration 1 hour/level.
Perils Trigger / Additional Conditions: On natural 1 the psion's own identity frays; for 1 hour they cannot remember their own name unless reminded, and feel like a stranger to themselves.
