Wayfinding covers orienting yourself, navigating familiar terrain, charting
unknown routes, pushing through sensor-blind weather or magnetic storms,
crossing trackless waste, and pinpointing hidden locations on a planetary
surface. The surveyor, the scout, the freight-runner hauling across unmapped
basins, the lone prospector who walks into the back of beyond and walks
back with a claim. Where Astrogation plots between stars, Wayfinding plots
between rocks. Failure by 5+ in a trackless waste can lose the party for
1d4 days and burn supplies. Planetary surfaces only; FTL plotting is
Astrogation.

Notes
Special: Planetary surfaces only (FTL is Astrogation). Failure by 5+ in
trackless waste loses the party 1d4 days. DC 30 pinpoint reveals a
hidden location to within meters.
Special: Wayfinding governs planetary surfaces only; FTL plotting is Astrogation.
Failure by 5+ in a trackless waste can lose the party for 1d4 days and
burn supplies. A successful pinpoint at DC 30 reveals a hidden cache,
bunker, or ruin to within a few meters of its true location.
Untrained: Anyone can read a map and follow a marked trail at the listed DCs.
Untrained Wayfinding fails automatically in featureless terrain,
sensor-blind weather, or storm, where a compass and a gut feeling are
not enough.
