Notes
Adventure Hooks: A salvage crew found something in a dead system -- Fold-touched wreckage -- and brought it to Blackreef to sell. Three factions want it. The party is outbid and must acquire it another way., Dockmother Yara hires the party to escort a convoy through a contested system. The cargo is legal. The convoy's real purpose is not., A bounty hunter's mark is hiding in Blackreef's lower decks. The mark claims innocence and offers evidence that the bounty was placed by a Family patriarch to cover up a murder., A black-market Kadiss spoofing rig is available, but the seller wants the party to test it by walking into a Confederation customs office on the next station over.
Crawl Notes: The lower decks -- sealed-off original modules from the station's earliest construction -- are unmapped, depressurised in places, and home to squatters and worse. A crawl is possible but not the station's primary function.
Faction Id: Independent
Lore: Blackreef sits at the edge of the Kadiss grid's reach, a drifting assembly of welded cargo containers, salvaged hull plating, and jury-rigged reactor cores that somehow holds atmosphere. It has no Confederation charter, no Kadiss connectivity, and no law beyond what the dock bosses enforce with sidearms. Smugglers, bounty hunters, Rim clan envoys, and desperate traders all pass through. The station runs on a reputation: anything can be bought here, nothing is recorded, and questions get you spaced. Three Rim clan warlords jointly claim sovereignty over Blackreef in theory; in practice, a woman called Dockmother Yara runs the docks and the clans pay her for berths. The station smells like engine grease, recycled air, and opportunity.
