Notes

Adventure Hooks: A Family matriarch hires the party to deliver a sealed gene-sample to the Veil. The sample is a psionic bloodline marker; three Houses want it, and one will kill to destroy it., A retainer from House Velasco has gone missing in the Veil's private gardens. The family blames a rival House. The retainer actually discovered a hidden sublevel predating the station's recorded construction., The party is invited to a zero-gravity masquerade where the real business is a silent auction for a Fold-touched artifact recovered from a derelict. Outbidding the wrong Family is fatal., A scion wants to defect to the Rim and needs passage. Their family will consider it treason. The Confederation would pay well for what the scion knows about Family gene-records.

Crawl Notes: The hidden sublevel beneath the gardens is a potential crawl: sealed since the station's construction, it predates the Families' occupation and may hold pre-Confederation technology or something worse. Not the station's primary function, but a strong side-quest environment.

Faction Id: Heron Family

Lore: The Gilded Veil orbits Vasca, an Inner world known for its wine-dark seas and the three Families who have carved its governance into hereditary seats. The station is their shared salon: a ring of private suites, gardens under artificial sky, ballrooms with zero-gravity dance floors, and a council chamber where alliances are brokered over vintage spirits. Fourteen thousand people live here -- Family members, retainers, gene-tailored servants, and a permanent security detail drawn from each House. The Kadiss units here are cosmetic overrides: everyone is tracked, but the logs belong to the Families, not the Confederation. Intrigue is the air they breathe. Assassination is gauche; ruin is elegant. A Family scion who loses a dynastic wager might find their bloodline's Kadiss records edited overnight, their identity erased as cleanly as a debt forgiven.
